So today marked the beginning of Spring in Nanjing. We reached a
high of 14 celsius, the sun was shining and there was barely any smog.
To celebrate I went out for a bike ride/walk around a part of the area I live in that I had never visited before.
I
left my apartment at 12:10, and returned home at 4:10 (not planned I
swear and not rounding), this time frame also included a brief fuel up
at Starbucks and then some quick grocery shopping.
First
Off, my route as according to Google Maps (I biked less than half of
this). The map does a poor job in showing that I biked around the
interior of the Olympic Stadium (the giant round about in the middle of the map).
And now the pics.

A young family flying a kite, now walking (12:40pm) |
Nearby Library, I never knew! |
My map app wanted me to go straight but there was construction, so I had to find a way around. |
Which brought me back to the library and I walked around it. No idea about the brain-like thing on the right hand side. |
In the same area, a church and another building. |
I think pretzel-like things, I wasn't brave. |
Greenery. |
YOU SHALL NOT PASS! |
Just kidding, there's a hole in the wall. |
The 8 lane highway I needed to get across to get to the scenic area which was my goal for the walk. |
I made, and found more construction. |
Lots of families out with their tents and their kites, spring is here. |
See the plum blossoms are in bloom (I think they may be early) |
I didn't have enough energy to make it all the way to the windmill in the distance - next time!! |
Back on a bike and headed to Starbucks (2:45pm). |
